Tom Highmore played his final MAFC year in the 2016 Rising Stars team. Not being drafted by GWS, he persevered, moving to play in the SANFL. Highmore played his first AFL game for St Kilda against GWS, and Tom Green and Phil Davis in 2021.
Patrick (Patty) Mills AM after playing for MAFC chose not to pursue AFL, favouring basketball. He was the first Indigenous Australian flag bearer at the 2020 Olympics, where he captained the Boomers to a bronze medal. He continues to play basketball in the NBA.
Tom Green was the MAFC 2014 Junior Clubman of the Year. In 2018 Green finished playing for MAFC. Selected by GWS, Green played his first AFL game in 2020.
Phil Davis played for MAFC and moved away from Canberra before his senior College years. Davis made his debut for Adelaide in 2010 and moved to GWS to be one of the three inaugural co-captains in 2012.
James Meiklejohn played his first AFL game in 2003 for Sydney in the Anzac Day clash with Melbourne. He played 6 games for the Swans over 2 seasons. Meiklejohn continued playing for the SANFL and retired in 2014.
Craig Bolton played his first AFL game in 2000 for Brisbane. In 2003 he moved to the Sydney Swans where as a stand out defender he won a premiership and co captained the Swans in 2008 - 2010.
Aaron Hamill played his first AFL game for Carlton in 1996, moving to St Kilda in 2000. Hamill briefly captained the Saints in 2003. In retirement Hamill has had various AFL coaching roles.
Brad Fuller, after leaving Marist in 1996 made his debut in 1997 for Collingwood. He played 19 games for the Magpies over 3 seasons.
Adrian Barich captained Marist to their first grand final. Moving to Perth in 1994 his AFL debut was for the West Coast Eagles in their historic first game in 1987.
Matthew Mahoney played his first AFL game for Melbourne Demons in 1990. Due to a run of injuries Mahoney was unable to play in 1991.
