About Registration

Welcome to the Marist AFL Registration for Season 2011.

All players previously registered with MAFC, who have not changed their email contacts from last season, should receive an email from the club with a completed "Registration Form" attached.

Just PRINT OUT the registration form and make any necessary changes, then SIGN IT and put it in an envelope ready to send back to the Club with payment. Both the player and a parent(s) need to sign it.

Rego forms sealed in an envelope can be handed in on Registration Day at school, posted back to the Clubs address at PO Box 317 Curtin, or handed in at the "School Finance Office". Please mark your envelope with "Marist AFL & Your Name", so it can find us.

For any first time registrations, or any previously registered player who did not receive a registration email from the Club, you can email the Club Registrar at Registrar@mafc.com.au and he will send a form out to you to complete and send back to us. Alternatively you can collect a blank registration form from the Senior School AFL Coordinator (Ms Leeanne Maloney), or the Sports Master at Senior or Junior School.

Registration Day is Friday 18 Feb 2011. MAFC committee members will be on hand at both the senior and junior schools to collect the registration forms and any payments.

Senior Registration - 1st XVIII
All players considering playing for the MAFC Seniors (1st XVIII) squad this season need to complete and sign both the Marist AFL 2011 Registration form and an AFL Form4 registration form. Players and a Parent will need to sign both these forms, the Club will sign the Form4 once it is handed back to us.

Selection in the 1st XVIII squad will entitle each player to a pair of shorts, socks, a team polo shirt and training jumper provided by the Team Sponsors. The playing jumper is provided by the Club and remains the property of the Club.

Players who wish to register for the 1st XVIII squad and were born after 30 June 1994 may also be eligible to play U16.

Registration Fees: $100 per player or $160 per family for Juniors, and $100 for Seniors.

Please note that the Junior Registration fees, either a single or family fee, are a separate payment to the registration fee paid for the Senior (Ist XVIII) squad.

U16 & U14 Dual Age Groups.
The ACT AFL Junior League will continue with Dual Age Progression in the U16 and U14 competitions this season. Marist AFL expects to field at least one team in each of the U16 and U14, Div 1 and Div 2.

Selection in our respective divisional sides will be based primarily on birth year age groups and a selection process that will occur during March. A series of training sessions and trial matches will be provided to assist in this process. Details and club selection policy will be provided as training commences.

U12s, U14s and U16s play full rules and for competition points. Modified rules (eg no tackling) apply to the U10 and U11 age groups. According to National and ACT AFL guidelines no competitions, scores, results, ladders or finals are recorded in the U10 or U11 age groups. This is to assist first timers to the game in crafting their skills and enjoying the game.

Club Playing Uniform: Club Shorts and socks available at the school uniform shop, all team jumpers will be provided by the club and remain the property of the Club. If wearing "skins" or like under the shorts then League Bylaws state that they are to be the "same colour as the clubs shorts or of natural skin colour". Only approved Royal Blue Lycra shorts are to be worn under the playing shorts on game day and are available at the School Uniform Shop. Mouths guards are considered mandatory on game day and at training sessions.

School Track Suits: are also available at the school uniform shop and it is part of the school winter uniform and is to be worn to and from games in preference to any other track suit.
